Maggie Valley is one of the highest valleys on the east coast and at over 3,200 feet, Maggie Valley offers vacationers a true taste of all four seasons. The surrounding mountains, offer spectacular vistas and heights of over 5,000 feet. The summers in the Great Smoky Mountains are cool and attract people from all over who come here to escape the heat. The winters offer skiing, tubing and other unique experiences. The spring bursts to life with flowering trees and wildflowers, while the autumn leafs puts on a colorful show reds, golds and oranges. Whatever your fancy, Maggie has something to offer.

Nestled between The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Maggie Valley sports great access to family outdoor activities like hiking, horseback riding, fishing, picnicing, whitewater rafting or just a senic ride on the parkway that will leave you breathless.

Nearby you'll find downtown Waynesville with its great shops and art galleries. To the west is the Cherokee Indian Reservation featuring Harahs Cherokee Casino and the Oconluftee Indain Village which recreates the way the native people of the Smokies lived. To the east and within an easy drive you'll find other great attractions like the Biltmore Estate, America's largest home. Asheville also has a multitude of museums, shops and restaurants.
